Wanderlust finishes have been selected to inspire the imaginations of architects and designers in their choice of building cladding by connecting them with nature’s awe-inspiring imagery and natural and architectural wonders of the world. Wanderlust colors range from vibrant hues designed to foster creativity to mineral-inspired glistening metallic shades that look as though they were pulled from the earth’s core to calming neutrals reminiscent of modern civilization.

“ALUCOBOND PLUS Wanderlust is a culmination of finishes selected to inspire architectural design through travel expeditions around the world, embracing the natural beauty, history and many cultures of these regions,” said Debbie Sulewski, Director, Marketing and Product Development, 3A Composites USA. “We wanted to commemorate great architecture from the past and to stimulate architectural vision for the future with an emphasis on biophilic design.”

ALUCOBOND PLUS Wanderlust finishes were selected as a result of extensive field studies and thorough review of global and market trends, according to Sulewski, who is a member of the Color Marketing Group, an international group of color design professionals.

“Our objective was to provide a plethora of color options to the architectural community that not only reflect current trends but also finishes that will stand the test of time,” said Sulewski. “All of the Wanderlust colors are available in stock bringing our total offering to 86 ALUCOBOND PLUS finishes. Our goal is to meet the demands of customers by not only supporting design and aesthetics but by also supporting our fabrication partners with an extensive offering of stocked materials readily available to meet project deadlines.”

ALUCOBOND PLUS is specified by architects and designers to create modern, memorable metal facades for office buildings, hospitals, educational facilities, convention centers, airports and hotels and is utilized to create custom design elements such as entrances, canopies, column covers, interiors, and for corporate identity programs and signage.

(As the original “aluminum composite material,” ALUCOBOND PLUS has been developed exclusively to allow architects and designers to meet the fire performance requirements of today’s building standards while using ACM as the material of choice. Consisting of two sheets of smooth .020” aluminum thermo-bonded to a solid, fire retardant core, ALUCOBOND PLUS offers the proven product properties such as flatness, form-ability, durability and ease of fabrication. ALUCOBOND PLUS is manufactured in a standard 4mm thickness.)

Wanderlust finishes have been added throughout the ALUCOBOND PLUS line, including within The Classic Collection; The Spectra Collection; and the Terra Series and Elements Series from The Natural Collection.

THE CLASSIC COLLECTION. Color plays an integral role in the architectural environment; the timeless palette in our Classic Collection reflects your passion for what’s possible. From classic neutrals to biophilic hues, this line offers a wide range of options to help you give shape to great ideas. New Wanderlust finishes include:

New-Age Dark Bronze Mica. This harmonic bronze bridges the innovations of the Bronze Age and modern day, bringing forth new perspectives.

Atacama Bronze Metallic. This unique bronze captures the eye like the Atacama Desert captures the spiritual heart of its native craftspeople. Stories of myth are as unique as the desert soils that have given birth to a new architectural landscape.

Beige. A neutral hue manifests itself like an archeological time-travel unearthing centuries of history and culture.

Epernay Champagne Metallic. A tribute to architectural grandeur, this spirited metallic champagne is as distinctive as the Champagne Houses in Epernay, France.

Magnolia. A symbol of beauty and gentleness, this bright white will stand tall like a steed before a race.

Market Pearl White Mica. Its sparkling bright luster shines like the first snowfall of the season and the eternal peace of the Swiss Alps.

Beachstone Gray Metallic. A warm gray with a metallic finish gently bounces along the surface, reminiscent of days spent along the shoreline skimming stones watching the sunrays bounce along the water.

Steel Silver City Mica. A cool gray with blue undertones marks the strength of steel and commemorates the passages of time through the Iron City.

Greyhound. Form and function carry this gray-blue through the terminals of life amidst the hunt for adventure.

Anthracite Silver Metallic. An elegant and subtle finish depicts Metropolitan Style and the evolution of urban landscapes.

Graphite Mica. A mid-tone gray conveys strength and sophistication.

Black Metallic. Stunning views by day, stargazing by night captures the essence of time and space in Brecon Beacons National Park.

Ultramarine Blue. Reminiscent of Egyptian tomb paintings and famous works of art from Renoir and Michelangelo, this dreamy blue is an ode to distant origins “beyond the sea.”

Tuscan Sun. A rich, bold and golden yellow is filled with magnetic charm in the warm haze of a Tuscan sunset.

Botanical. A vibrant and versatile green signifies life, renewed growth and splendor.

THE SPECTRA COLLECTION. ALUCOBOND PLUS Spectra colors are transitional finishes which celebrate the natural color shifts that occur in materials that affect everyday life; the subtle nuances and color contrasts found readily in nature, the glowing luster and sheen in modern metals and the color shifts found in today’s luxury goods. New Wanderlust colors added to The Spectra Collection include:

Galaxy Blue. A galaxy in motion artfully shifts in faint blue color, slowly evolving and transforming the stars it beholds.

White Gold. An unwavering exquisite blend of lustrous pearls and warm yellow gold creates kinetic energy while cultivating grace and beauty.

THE NATURAL COLLECTION. Biophilic design conceptualizes spaces in a way that acknowledges the human need to connect with nature. Finishes in The Natural Collection amplify the organic beauty and character of different elements and materials found in the world around us.

The Terra Series is inspired by iridescent stone and the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline surfaces, creating a unique, organic and natural ambiance. New Wanderlust colors in The Terra Series include:

Bronze. As unique as the moment in time it captures, the sparkling bronze fragments of beauty pay homage to those lost fighting for freedom.

Slate. Lights, Camera, Action: This earthy gray with a fine grain texture captures the light as if generated by the electric appeal and dramatic allure of Broadway.

The Element Series finishes unify the effortless appearance of organic metals and finely textured patterns to create a vivid and memorable impression while retaining the luster of aluminum from afar. New Wanderlust colors in The Element Series include:

Aragonite Metallic. An iridescent creamy pearl finish with prismatic features fosters stability, empowerment and tolerance.

Moonstone Metallic. A pearly and opalescent moon-like white moves across the surface as the light varies in its path from dawn to dusk.

Colorado Gold Metallic. This robust gold finish is homage to the 1859 gold rush on Pikes Peak with its ever-flowing mountainous ranges made infamous by miners.

Native Copper Mica. A raw copper with a perfectly balanced blend of orange, red and brown evokes the spirits of an ancient world and a gateway to the future.

Brushed Antique Copper. Subtle red brush strokes encompass this copper with European flair marking its place in history.

Olivine Metallic. A terrestrial olive-green is brought to life by its translucent crystals, as if bursting through the earth’s core in a volcanic eruption.

Almandine Garnet Metallic. An opaque Venetian red with a hint of sparkle is designed to captivate the mind and a yearning for mystery, power and grace.

Cubanite Metallic. A charcoal gray is charged with effervescent yellow-gold crystals that bounce along its surface like the rise of the sun over the Ligurian Sea.

Serpentine Metallic. Like the layers found in the oceanic plate, this stormy gray is awakened by its twinkling green gems rising above the surface ready to explore new boundaries.

Basalt Gray. A dynamic and neutral gray captures the unpredictability of life.
